The Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong (China) is the world' s seventh longest suspension bridge. Named after Tsing Yi and Ma Wan, two of Hong Kong's islands, it has two platforms, one for road traffic and the other for rail traffic, making it the longest of its kind in the world. The upper platform has six car lanes, and the lower platform has two railway tracks, as well as two additional vehicle lanes for use in strong winds. It opened on 27 April 1997 with a main length of 1,377 metres and a width of 41 metres, and its columns are 206 metres high, with a maritime traffic clearance height of 62 metres.

The Tsing Ma Bridge also links the islands of Tsing Yi to the north and Ma Wan to the west across the Ma Wan Channel. The bridge is part of the Lantau link connecting Hong Kong with Chek Lap Kok, where Hong Kong International Airport is located.

DELVALLE SOLUTION

After identifying and analysing the requirements in high-rainfall maritime areas, AISI 316L stainless steel enclosures and cabinets with high IP67 tightness and maximum IK10 resistance were designed with our Amphibox Luxor Series, as the ideal solution for housing equipment in aggressive maritime environments, given that they can remain watertight for a minimum of 30 minutes at a depth of 1 metre.

The most appreciated features of the Amphibox Luxor Series are the ease of disassembly with screws, its 120º pivoting door, which allows for the interior of the enclosure to be operated without the need for disassembly, making it an ideal solution for housing security systems and cameras on the bridge.
