Located in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux in Drôme, France, the Tricastin Nuclear Power Plant is situated at the crossroads of four departments (Drôme, Ardèche, Gard, and Vaucluse) and between three major economic regions (Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and Languedoc-Roussillon). It covers an area of 55 hectares and is located in the Tricastin industrial zone, which also houses the facilities of Areva, making it a unique nuclear site in Europe.

The plant has four 900-megawatt pressurized water reactors and has been producing safe, clean, and competitive electricity for over thirty years. With its production of 25 terawatt-hours, the power plant meets the electricity consumption equivalent to 3.5 million inhabitants, which corresponds to almost 50% of the energy needs of the Rhône-Alpes region.

DELVALLE SOLUTION

Delvalle, after identifying and analyzing the needs of the nuclear sector, developed in collaboration with the client a customized wall-mounted enclosure from the Luxor Series, made of AISI 316 stainless steel and painted in RAL 7035 to provide greater protection against corrosion.

Delvalle delivered completely tailor-made Luxor Series enclosures to meet the client's engineering requirements, which consist of a watertight and dustproof enclosure (IP66) with high resistance to corrosion. Through this solution, we guarantee a lifespan of over 20 years for the internal components in nuclear environments.
