Photovoltaic plants in Extremadura have favorable climatic conditions for the development of installations that harness solar radiation to generate clean and sustainable electricity. These plants significantly contribute to the generation of renewable energy in the region and through electrical substations, transformers are responsible for raising the output voltage from the solar panels to a suitable level for transmission and distribution in the power grid.

The project is about the 'Infraestructura San Serván 220' collector substation located in the municipality of Mérida, with a total area of 256 hectares. This plant will generate up to 289,551,000 kWh per year, which is equivalent to the energy consumption of 88,500 households annually.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY THE DELVALLE ENGINEERING TEAM

When it comes to dealing with installations in a booming sector such as renewable energy and its storage, we work closely with our customers to provide customized electrical cabinets classified for corrosive atmospheres (C5H). These cabinets guarantee a lifespan of over 30 years in photovoltaic plants, even in environments with fluctuations in humidity or temperature (from -20ºC to +80ºC).

Our mission is to ensure perfect insulation of the auxiliary service panels with all guarantees for a stable power supply. We conduct a comprehensive study and provide our solution, the weatherproof stainless steel enclosure from our Tropico Series. Specifically designed for outdoor use, it preserves both aesthetics and electrical insulation. Furthermore, with the C5H classification of these enclosures, we ensure their extremely high durability for up to 30 years.
