Last January saw the official start of operations of the new train and wagon washing equipment installed in Moscow. The special climatic conditions, as well as the characteristics of the rolling stock (single and double-decker trains or the 625-metre-long Trans-Siberian) have been a design challenge met by Delvalle.

The washing facility is of enormous proportions, and includes a heating system, 16 washing brushes, hot water arches, a dual detergent system, as well as special fans for drying and 3 complementary recycling systems for the reuse of water.

Delvalle's commitment to the continuous improvement of its equipment and its investment in R&D has resulted in new electrical enclosure systems which are resistant to the most extreme conditions, such as water, humidity, frost, or chemical agents, adapting to the specific needs of our client in Russia.

DELVALLE SOLUTION

After identifying the requirements for both the railway sector and tunnel washers, an IP67 stainless steel wall cabinet from the Luxor Series was designed together with the customer and was deemed ideal for housing locomotive and wagon washing equipment for the railway sector. Dual IP67 thermoelectrics were also supplied, which provide cooling and heating, depending on the time of year, in order to cool and prevent condensation inside the electrical panel, providing a constant stable temperature in the interior of the equipment, even in adversely aggressive environments.
