Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport has been equipped with new jetways and moving walkways to facilitate passenger transit. A total of 42 new jetways (known as fingers) have been installed, which will handle passenger traffic at an airport that has seen the volume of passengers increase to 58 million in the last year.

Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport is a basic pillar of mobility in the metropolitan area of Madrid; this implies high standards of mobility within its infrastructures, to which not only the lifts and escalators contribute, but also the jetways.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY THE ATEX DELVALLE ENGINEERING TEAM

From the outset, the solution was based on the use of the Tribeca Series stainless steel IP66 Nema 4X enclosure. Delvalle custom-designed these cabinets according to AENA standards, which consist of a stainless-steel enclosure (with high anti-corrosion resistance), which is waterproof and dustproof (IP66), offering a highly visible image to the airport (as it is easy to clean with soap and water). Thanks to this solution, we guarantee a long service life (up to more than 25 years in full operation) in conditions with a high level of humidity and corrosion, as well as maximum safety for those passing by.
