The world's largest biomass power station is located at the Port of Teesside in Middlesbrough (UK). Planned with a target output of 299 MW of electricity and steam, both for self-supply and intended for export to nearby industry and users.

The project has an investment of approximately 600 million Euros, this project provides renewable energy equivalent to at least 600,000 homes and during the construction phase, generated around 1,100 jobs.
