Automatic Bird and Bat Monitoring and Protection

Today, it is necessary a self-working system for bird and bat monitoring and/or mortality mitigation at wind turbines generators (WTG). The system automatically detects birds and bats and can optionally take two independent actions to mitigate bird/bat collision risk: the activation of warning sounds and/or the stoppage of the WTG.

These systems are demanded by environmental administrations of an increasing number of countries. At the end of the year 2020, over 300 units have been installed at over 50 existing / projected; onshore / offshore wind farms in 14 countries.

SOLUTION BY THE DELVALLE ENGINEERING TEAM

At Delvalle, develop each project with the dedication necessary to achieve the objectives, and as specialist in the manufacturer of “outdoor” customized enclosures; we supplied as a solution the connection and terminal boxes, Geo Series, made of AISI 316L stainless steel with IP67.

In addition, win the development of this project, we supplied the IP68 anti-condensation valves of the Glakor^® brand in AISI 303L stainless steel, avoiding condensation inside the enclosures.
