The supply of the Atinkou combined-cycle power plant is the largest project of its kind in Ivory Coast, as well as in West Africa; the Atinkou power plant will produce 2.875 GWh annually, will be able to supply approximately one million households and will create 2.500 jobs during construction and operation. The gas turbine technology is Siemens SGT5-4000F, it is the first F-class gas turbine in West Africa; the power plant will also have a recovery boiler, 3 pressure stages, cooling tower, water intake and Siemens SST-3000 steam turbine.

The plant will be connected to the new 400 kV substation and electricity transmission network. This is the first network in Côte d'Ivoire at this voltage level, aimed at reducing energy transmission losses. The new Atinkou power plant is designed to meet all World Bank environmental standards, and has very low emissions associated with it.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY DELVALLE'S ENGINEERING TEAM

After analysing the requirements for the project (high concentrations of dust in the environment, numerous sandstorms and high temperature), we determined the use of a cabinet specially designed for desert environments and made special designs of the Tribeca Series and Geo Series made of AISI 316L stainless steel with a high IP66 tightness (against dust, humidity and resistance to water jets), as the ideal equipment to house electrical equipment with a guarantee as well as providing qualities against corrosion and damage caused by sandstorms.
